Champ Cards

Welcome to the rules and registration page for the net's newest game, Champ Cards.

Rules:

The object of Champ Cards is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over (as in blackjack).  You do this by getting cards.  The champion (or 1st player to sign up if there is no champ) chooses a number 0-51 to cut the deck.  Then 9 cards are dealt in this fashion:

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

The champ (or 1st player) chooses one of the 9 cards.  2-10 are face value, face cards are worth 10, and aces can be 1 or 11.  After the card the player has chosen is revealed, he/she may either take that card and place it in his/her hand or take the next card from the top of the deck.  If he/she takes the card, that card goes in his/her hand and the space where the card came from is left blank.  If he/she takes the next card from the top of the deck, the card that he/she chose from the 9 remains on the board (and the other player [or you if it's still on the board] can take it).  That player's turn is now over.  Then the 2nd player takes his/her turn.

If you have a total of 12 or higher, you may freeze.  If you freeze, your opponent must keep choosing cards from the board and/or from the top of the deck until your opponent has beaten you (if they do, they win the round) or they bust by going over 21 (if that happens, you win the round).  At any time, if a player busts, the other player wins the round.  If you win 2 rounds, you win the game and play the bonus round where you can win over $160,000 TGSF Dollars.  Also, if you get 21, you win the round automatically.  If you get blackjack (Ace and a 10, J, Q, or K), you automatically win the game.

Also, there are no ties on Champ Cards.  If you freeze on a number, you "own" that number and the other player can't freeze on that number.

Each round you win is worth $2500 TGSF Dollars.  A blackjack is worth $5000 TGSF Dollars (and you win the game).

Bonus Round

The bonus round is played like the main game, except you have to beat the "house".  The cards are dealt out like the 9-card grid in the main game.  The player uses those cards.  At the beginning of the hand, after the 9 cards are dealt, the house is dealt 1 hole card and 1 up card.  House must hit 16 and below and stand 17 and above.  Before the hand starts, you bet money (must bet at least 1/2 of your money).  Your starting amount is $2,500 (or $5,000 if you won with a blackjack).  If you win, you gain money (for example, if you have $5,000 and you bet $3,000 and win the hand, you'll have $8,000).  There are 5 hands (only 1 hand is played at a time).  Here are the maximum payouts for both starting amounts:

There are 4 ways you can lose all of your bouns round TGSF Dollars (3 of them apply even if you don't bet all of your TGSF Dollars):

1.  If you bet all of your TGSF Dollars and lose the hand.
2.  If you bust on any of the 5 hands (even if you don't bet all of your TGSF Dollars)
3.  If the house has blackjack on any of the 5 hands (see below #4 for 1 exception)
4.  If you don't respond to a game related e-mail within 2 days (unless the host says otherwise) (see "other stuff")

If the up card for the house is a 10, J, Q, K, or A, you will be offered TGSF Dollars to stop playing (a.k.a.  take it and stop the bonus round) (amount will be random and determined by the host).  After the player decides whether to take the TGSF Dollars offered or risk and play, the hole card will be revealed, even if the house doesn't have blackjack.

Note:  You must play all 5 hands (unless the house has an up card of a 10, J, Q, K, or A and you take the offered TGSF Dollars and stop the bonus round).

Other stuff:

TGSF Terms of Service applies.

Must have a valid e-mail address.

You have 2 days to respond to any game related e-mail that requires your reply or answer (unless the host says otherwise).  If you don't, you are eliminated (if it's the main game, the other player automatically wins $5,000 and starts with $2,500 in the bonus round; if it's the bonus round, you lose all of your bonus round TGSF Dollars and a new game will start)

No real prizes or cash will be awarded.  TGSF Dollars are not real money.

All TGSF Dollars won in the main game is yours to keep no matter what happens (unless you cheat and/or violate the TGSF Terms of Service.

The games will be done via e-mail.

This game can be played as part of the Weekly Games.  If it is played as part of the Weekly Games, it'll be done in the TGSF Studios (like all other games in the Weekly Games).
